Neuro Adventures! is a survivors-like set in the Neuroverse. Inspired by the likes of Magic Survivors and Holocure, it plays very similarly to other games in the genre, but with a twist: instead of one, you play as two characters. You are given a collab partner that you control directly, and an AI that will follow the collab partner around. Be warned, however - the AI has friendly fire and can damage the collab partner!

Featured

  • Vedal & Anny as playable collab partners
  • Neuro & Evil as playable AI
  • Unique upgrades for each character
  • Customizable character settings
  • 29 directive cards

Controls

  • WASD for movement
  • Some upgrades can be aimed using the mouse
  • Some upgrades use [Space] for activation
  • [Shift] will switch the AI between follow and unfollow mode (has cooldown)

Nice game!

Having friendly fire is a creative choice, it's not often in games that there are hazards for both you and the enemies, or maybe I just haven't seen it because I don't play much games :p, either way, it makes for a challenging twist.

So, I did notice that the characters are not visible in the character select menus, perhaps you intended to place their portraits there?  If it's not a bug, maybe the in-game sprites could serve as a good placeholder.

I think it would be convenient to be able to read the description of an ability from the pause menu, it took me a while to figure out how the portal gun works.

Overall, this was a fun experience!

Fun gameplay! Couple of observations:

  • Options button did nothing for me in the menu. Don’t know if it is not yet implemented or a glitch.
  • Some info on the controls would be nice (I’m not familiar with these VS-like auto attack games). I tried mouse clicking and arrow keys for movement before figuring it out.
  • Some feedback on the targeting mechanic would be nice (holding the projectile out toward the mouse cursor or some fire-line or something)

Keep up the good work, the gameplay is fun!

Thanks for your feedback! Yes the option button is really there as a placeholder and does nothing for now.  A better targeting mechanic is something I definetly want to look into!
